World War 1 (by Dunnigan)

I recently picked up a used copy of this in its original S&T magazine form. It's a really interesting looking game. Super streamlined. Includes west and east fronts (and maybe the near east, can't remember off the top of my head). Units are armies, I think. So not a ton of counters. I'd like to play it via VASSAL if I can't get a game in at a convention.

I think I last played this in the early 80s, its a fun, clean and easy to learn design if I remember correctly. I am surprised there is not a good VASSAL module for this, you inspired me to add it to my list of modules to create (need to finish my AW mods).

Grant I found a SPI module for this. DM on Discord and I'll enlighten you.

I know there's a Decision Games reprint of this game. World War 1: Deluxe Edition. I have no idea if it's an improvement or if they butchered it. Decision is not a company I have a ton of trust in.
