Kevin Bertram and Napoleon 1807
This episode features an interview with Kevin Bertram, head honcho at Fort Circle Games and designer of their initial release, The Shores of Tripoli. As well, we take a good look at Napoleon 1807 from Shakos Games.
On top of that, there is news of our new newsletter as well as a scattering of news from around the hobby, and the usual chatter about things that catch this magpie's eye.

The Shakos Napoleonic system is fun, I played 1806 twice and enjoyed it a bunch.
Kevin Bertram seems larger than life, his demo of Halls of Montezuma at SDHistoCon was so much fun, I promptly pre-ordered it. A very smart guy…
When playing a battle game, I am always interested and curious about WHAT happened. The personalities involved, the troops, the terrain, twists of fate, etc.
Ian Toll’s ‘Six Frigates’ is an outstanding book.
Please continue with what you have on the table, it’s interesting plus it gives you a chance to quick comment on several titles. Thanks!

I greatly enjoyed the Kevin Bertram interview. Since he is local to DC I suggested to the Washingtonian Media editor -- I work there -- to consider doing an article on him and his company. Probably won't go anywhere but would like to see some more exposure for him to a non-gaming audience. We did have a small bit about a recent DC gaming conference where Votes for Woman was voted best new game.
I hope that works out. He's an interesting businessman as well as a designer/publisher. And a great guy, his personality really shines through in the interview.

And I will also vote for keeping "what's on the table". By the way, I tried to take the survey but get into a loop that says "Take Survey" and "Start Survey". Not sure if other people are having the same problem.
