120 Series of Several Iterations

Hoi y`all as I did happen to obtain the majority for these, beginning with the large 'Zip-Loc Baggies' versions. Recall that even 'DNO' & 'UNT' began as thus, yet, all of the smaller 'boxed' kind had the 'Gamemaps' folded further to cram-jam them within-! Plenty of 'times' we'd tape down the corners, while later-on we used clear glass panes, or 'plexiglas'-('perspex' to a few others)-! oh, the FREE sort are best sought and 'moi' GOT many, like the "Jack-in-the-Box" 'Dining Room' glass as FREED-? It almost covered MOST of them maps for SPI 'War in Europe', as we needed an additional glass piece & end table to encompass the remainder.

Some 'Boxed' editions also lacked their earlier 'Zip-Loc' versions, or didn't even have further iterations, such as the 'Pacific Campaigns' nor lots of others, such with 'Pharsulas', 'Crimea', 'Eagles'-(became T.A.H.G.C. 'Caesar's Legions'), 'Elau', etc. At least they didn't become still badly increased-creases with the smaller boxed ones-! They seemed as if vying with 'Avalon Hill' on squashed, ill fitting boxes, & had you seen that 'Magic Realm' travestegial atrocity-? Then, no longer could any 'counters tray' fit into this, due too 'shallownocity' now. I can think upon '1' company that has their 'Gamemap' rolled up within a 'tube'-container, as we would get a 'Hairs Dryer' to blow heat onto that to flatten it fastest.

Here's the latest of 'moi' concepts unto 'Fieldworks':

The 'notion' becoming a 'minis'-depiction of this, that was positioned on-board while an off-board 'locale card' will contain the 'pieces' in there. Plenty of 'Places' will allow many 'Installations'/etc. placement whilst uncluttering the smaller 'Board Spaces'-! The 'Bermuda Trigon' is yet another example for consideration, as how would/should/could it become 'surrealized'-?

Have you seen the Compass reprint of the 120 series games into a single box? I think it has three of them in one package.

I played one of the games from the new Compass version. It was great. Good old school hex and counter. No step losses, just bam and you're done.

Hoi Grant and no, I haven't, while I seem to recall that 'Consim Press' has their 'remake' of 'Beda Fomm' in an overall improved edition-! Now, their entire '120 Series' was around less than USD $5-apiece back then, so compare that with today's cost-? Even 'War at Sea' was $5 initially as how much $$$ did it increase upto lately-? Yeah, with the 'Zip-Loc baggie' editions then you got LESS 'mapfold creasing' as the smaller 'box' made those more prominent & accursed-! How many others did they produce-?

For the 'scale' represented, then 'silhouettes' are 'apropos' as seen/shown. Notice that they didn't 'follow' the basic premise of: '120 Counters & 120 minutes playing 'time' allotted' so, had they created '?-?-? Counters & !-!-! hours'-Series-? The '411'-counters alone were substantial as a few more would have been 'nice'-!   

I do have Beda Fomm, got it used. Haven't played it yet. Though at the same time I got The Legend Begins from Terran. It was Simonitch's first stab at a North Africa game and I really liked it.
