Stalingrad: 2010

Another first in 1963, I believe this wargame has more articles written about it than any other wargame.

Sans maybe ASL now.

I've never played it, but it certainly seems to have been the game that hooked a ton of kids into the hobby. This despite it not being about Stalingrad (it's actually a fairly full east front game). Word is that it's historical fidelity is pretty out of whack compared to what we now know, so it doesn't get the same play these days that other oldies like Bulge, DDay, and Afrika Korps get.

Hoi y`all as I wanted to bring more attention for this 'entry' with a 'Variant' of mine for usage upon the 'Game' map. Here is the full 'article' LINK: "GROGnads" 'S-grad 2010'-! It was intended to introduce several 'concepts' also, especially new 'H.Q' abilities-!

 

I've never been much for house rules or variants myself, but I am a fan of redone counters for some of these oldies.

Hoi y`all as I also did these to where all 'SS' units are 'blackened' in a nod/props to "Ty Bomba"-! Some may 'declare' that he was too enthusiastic about them, but, so be it-? The additional counters were for uses with the 'Activation Points System' in which 'H.Q.'s could spend those in order to implement these accordingly, for when 'apropos'-!
