Do not deny yourself any longer, Grant! While I'll admit to being a shill for Butterfield designs, his Enemy Action solo systems are absolutely brilliant.

I know that "It feels like you're playing a live opponent" is a trite and overused phrase by wargamers about solo designs.

But I've play a lot of solo systems over the years, and honest to God, this one truly does!

One caveat to that: I spend more time contemplating my moves in EA:A (and EA:K) than I do against live opponents. It's that compelling.

Part of the reason that it's also attractive is it's John Butterfield, the man who made the only solo system I really liked. But with the ability to play either side or opposed, these just seem like perfect games.

I gravitate to the more complex games for some reason. I don’t know why I torture myself.

I do a fair bit as well, but I like to balance it out with some Commands and Colors or Undaunted. Gives my brain a rest.
