Shakespeare's First Folio Available for Pre-order!
In partnership with the Folger Shakespeare Library, we are proud to announce that Shakespeare's First Folio is now available for pre-order! In Shakespeare's First Folio, the players are rival printers vying to publish the famous First Folio. Utilizing a mix of trick-taking and worker placement, players acquire as many of the 36 plays of the First Folio as possible. The first printing will be a limited edition printing that includes a mounted board, a "printing press" dice tower, 36 Play cards and 30 Personage cards, 8 resource dice, a cloth bag, over 100 wood pieces and plenty of historical goodies. Shakespeare's First Folio will initially only be available for purchase at the Folger Shakespeare Library in Washington, DC and the Globe Theater in London. However, we have a few hundred additional copies that we are making available for pre-order.
We are going to print in early December - if you are interested in a print and play test kit, please let me know! We will be delivering the games in March in the United States. If you are outside of the United States, please email and we can help you with a pre-order that will cover shipping and/or VAT.
Speaking of the Folger Shakespeare Library, we will be hosting Circle DC 2025 on March 28-30, 2025 at the Library. Circle DC - also known as the Convention on History, Education & Play - is a limited attendance game convention with an emphasis on historical gaming with a solid mixture of published games and prototypes. Early next year, our friends over at Wehrlegig Games are releasing their latest project Molly House, a game about the remarkable historical queer community in 18th century London. Players throw grand masquerades and cruise back alleys while evading moralistic constables who seek to destroy the community. Designed by Jo Kelly and friend of the firm Cole Wehrle, this curiously interactive game celebrates queer joy and wrestles with its dark past that ultimately destroyed this historic community.

Of course, we have plenty more going on... next week we will be launching the Kickstarter for First Monday in October, we have the second printing of Votes for Women in stock, and we are taking pre-orders for both The Halls of Montezuma and Hunt for Blackbeard which will be delivering in Q1 2025. In Q2, we will have the second printing of The Shores of Tripoli and then start work on Peace 1905, Night Witches, Blood & Treasure and Open Windows... and who knows what else!
