This strategical game for 1 to 3 players has been created by Stephane Brachet, the author of Border States. In 55 and 54 BC, Julius Caesar landed in the south of the island of Britain, then known as Britannia. This was the first contact between Rome and the various British kingdoms. Numerous kings rallied to Caesar to survive, or to benefit from Rome's protection against the hostility of other British tribes: these were the first client kingdoms. This system would develop over the next century, so that by the time of Claudius' Roman invasion in AD 43, many client kingdoms were already well established. Among these were the Regnenses, Brigantes and Iceni, who fought mercilessly for power. With Rome's support, they all tried to obtain the title of King of the British, in Latin: REX BRITANNORUM. During this campaign we will also propose the game Breizh 1341. Breizh 1341 is a card-driven strategic games between two players, one taking the lead of the Franco-Bretons of Charles de Blois and the other controlling the Anglo-Bretons of Jean de Montfort, to gain control of the crown of Brittany. Released in French, it was a nice success for you and we will take the opportunity of a reprint to offer this game an english version. Note: These games will be available in English, French and Spanish thanks to our partner, Draco Ideas. More info on the project page: https://gamefound.com/en/projects/shakos/rex-britannorum |
