I'll just provide a link here, but I will mention one point that Brian makes that is worth pondering. Part of why we are beholden to China for printing is because game buyers now demand mounted maps, linen cards, minis, super-fine printing, etc. And they want them to be inexpensive. Brian makes the point that the games at the level of SPI games in the 70s could still be printed in America. And those games were great.
