In the latest GMT newsletter, this really caught my eye:
P500 Removals.
I always hate doing this, but...after evaluating games that are either stagnant on P500 or for which either the orders are stuck or the designer is moving on to other projects, we are removing several items from our P500 and P500 Reprint lists this time, as follows:
- Hannibal's Revenge
- No Retreat 2: North Africa
- No Retreat 2: North Africa Update Kit
- No Retreat 5: The Western Front
If designers find a home for these games with other publishers, we'll let you all know so you can order them if you want them.
Makes me wonder if NR1: The Russian Front, NR3: The French and Polish Fronts, and NR4: The Italian Front will be dropped when they eventually sell out of their current stock.
You never know if it was the designer's or the publisher's decision. I have seen the designer, Carl Paradis, complain about how long it takes things to make it through the GMT P500 system, so perhaps he decided to move them to a new publisher. Or maybe GMT just decided they weren't getting the needed orders. One thing is for sure: I'm bummed that I won't be getting an updated NR3 North Africa anytime soon.
