My highlights from the latest GMT update
As always, there's too much to mention it all, but here's what caught my eye. I'll link to the full newsletter at the bottom.
Sounds like I, Napoleon is selling like hotcakes. I'm still not much for playing solo games, but this one is compelling.- 2024 Yearly GMT Sale September 3-9. The yearly sale will be held September 3-9. Normally I think it's held later in the year, maybe Novemeber. No word whether this shift is just this year or if it's going to be the new slot every year.
- GMT is looking for designers for solo modes for their games. Contact Jason Carr if that's up your alley
GMT is now carrying Shakos games. You know I'm a big fan of their Napoleon 18xx series. Hopefully this will help more people find them.- Now shipping is Next War Iran and Normandy 44. Up next in September is Labyrinth and Red Dust Rebellion. I think that last one is going to be big.
- New to P500 is Stepping into Hell, another volume in Great Battles of the American Civil War. As well, there are reprints of Downfall, Pendragon, and
Vijayanagara.
- The reprint of the 5th Edition of The Russian Campaign has been removed from P500. No real explanation why. This surprised me as the first printing sold out quickly. I'm suddenly feeling glad to have grabbed a copy while I could. Maybe John Kranz and John Edwards like the Compass reprint better? Hard to believe, but maybe.
- Fall Weekend at the Warhouse will be on October 17-20, 2024. I'll be missing that one as I'll be at SD Histcon a few weeks later.
